Emily graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She is currently attending the University of Missouri to obtain her Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work. As clinical intern and coach for New Perspectives, Emily is living out her calling to serve families and young adults. With extensive experience working with children, adolescents and young adults on the spectrum, Emily is knowledgeable in helping families and individuals gather the necessary tools needed to move through life’s challenges. Whether it be anxiety, depression, cognitive and learning differences, or relationship struggles, Emily is dedicated to taking a gentle yet active approach in guiding client’s to developing healthy routines, improving relationships, finding passion and purpose, and maintaining an overall sense wellbeing and fulfillment.
Emily is continuously seeking to gain further skills and to broaden her education to aid her clinical work. Emily believes in meeting clients and families where they are and helping them to identify and utilize their unique strengths rather than focusing on weakness. Emily provides an environment of compassion and understanding to help individuals and families overcome obstacles and move towards a place of healing and personal growth. Emily is a strong believer in the importance of work-life balance and this manifests in her work with clients. In her down time, Emily enjoys traveling to new places, hiking, camping and reading.
