Janet has worked in the mental health industry for aver 30 years. She has both a BS and MA in Social Work from the University of Utah. Additionally, she holds a certificate in Autism from Utah Valley University, and is trained in several therapy styles including CBT, ACT, DBT, TRE, mind-body bridging therapy, mindfulness & meditation, compassionate inquiry, polyvagal theory, the wheel of consent, and more.

In her practice, Janet works with individuals, couples, and families. She has a deep passion for working with autism, and has a particular interest in addressing the effects of trauma on neurodiversity.

Brenden Dalzen, LMFT

Brenden Dalzen joined the New Perspectives team in 2025 with nearly a decade of experience in the therapeutic field. In his practice he strives to create an easy-going, non-judgmental space to meet each client where they're at & with whatever they are struggling with.

Brenden has an MA in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage & Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. He specializes in Humanistic, Person-Centered, CBT/DBT, and Existential therapy, specifically with life transitions and mood disorders.

Brenden prefers to walk & talk (or ski & talk!) as an avenue to deliver therapy, though he still likes talk therapy in an office. He believes it’s good to mix things up & utilize bilateral stimulation while unpacking & processing.

Brenden provides free 30-minute consultations. Contact him here to set up a consultation.
